Heavy-Duty Lid-Mount Drum Mixer MBEP-5000 (Plastic Drums 120–220 L)

The MBEP-5000 is the heavy-duty version of our lid-mount drum mixer platform. Same idea as the MBEP-500 — the mixer is integrated directly into the original HDPE plastic drum lid, not bolted to the drum rim with an external clamp. The difference is the motor. The MBEP-5000 has 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) and handles media up to 5,000 mPa*s, which covers thicker chemistry, dense polymer solutions, heavier food intermediates and the kind of viscous products a chemistry plant typically buys in plastic drums.

Pick MBEP-500 if

Your viscosity stays under 500 mPa*s. The lighter motor is enough, and you save on the unit cost. The MBEP-5000 is sized for the viscosity range above that, where the MBEP-500 would labour.

Pick MBPP-1000 if

Your drum contains solvents, ethanol, or media that produces flammable vapours. The MBEP-5000 is electric and not ATEX-certified. The pneumatic MBPP-1000 has no electric components in the drive, so it is the safer choice for flammable chemistry — at the cost of a lower viscosity range (1,000 mPa*s vs 5,000).
