Barrel Mixer MBEO-5000 — Heavy-Duty Electric Open-Head Drum Mixer

Application and model advantage

The heavy-duty electric barrel mixer in our drum line — engineered for viscous chemistry inside open-head 200 L drums: epoxy and polyester resins, PUR and MS adhesives, solvent-based coatings, colour pastes, bituminous compounds. The 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) TEFC three-phase motor delivers a torque reserve up to 5,000 mPa*s. Top clamp / drum-cover mount for full open-head drums.

The MBEO-5000 industrial drum mixer handles all three duty modes — blending miscible liquids, re-suspension of settled solids and dissolution of powders — in open-head 200 L (55-gallon) drums. Three mechanical speeds (140 / 200 / 280 rpm) cover the typical production process palette; a variable frequency drive (VFD) is available as an option for continuous speed control of shear-sensitive media. The full-size 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller drives the drum content with the torque needed for heavy resins and dense pastes.

Unlike the entry-level MBEO-500 (500 mPa*s, dual-use barrel + IBC), the MBEO-5000 is dedicated to open-head 200 L drums — it is the only Teknomatik drum mixer that is NOT also an IBC tote mixer, because the heavier propeller geometry is optimised for the drum geometry. The 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) TEFC three-phase motor delivers the torque reserve required for media close to 5,000 mPa*s. Industrial construction built for continuous 24/7 duty in production environments. Three mechanical speeds 140 / 200 / 280 rpm give the operator full process control. The 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller is sized for the open-head 200 L drum geometry and approved for food contact (EC 1935/2004) and chemical service. The mount uses a top clamp or full drum-cover plate.
