The MSU-1000 is the only universal stationary mixer in our range with a quick-change propeller system. One twin ∅140 mm 316Ti propeller covers 1000 L IBC totes through both DN150 and DN225 caps; a dedicated drum propeller covers 80–220 L drums. The whole platform shares one industrial touchscreen, one VFD (40–100% of nominal speed in standard), one electric lift frame. Plants running mixed container formats — IBC for bulk, drums for batch, occasional in-house tanks — get a single floor station instead of three separate mixers.

Universal Stationary Mixer MSU-1000 (Quick-Change Propellers for IBC and Drums)

The MSU-1000 is the universal model in our stationary mixer range and the only Teknomatik design with a quick-change propeller system. The mixer body, the drive, the touchscreen and the lift frame stay on the floor. The operator swaps the propeller between two dedicated heads — one for IBC totes, one for drums — depending on the container that just came onto the station.

The IBC propeller is a twin ∅140 mm 316Ti high-speed design. It fits 600, 800 and 1000 L IBC totes with either DN150 or DN225 caps. We do not split this into two propellers because the IBC body itself is the same in both cap formats — only the top opening differs, and ∅140 mm passes through both. The drum propeller is dedicated for 80–220 L drums (steel, fibre, plastic with bolted lid) and matches the geometry of typical drum interiors. The handover is mechanical and takes seconds with the lift in the raised position.

What the quick-change platform does for production

Customers picking the MSU-1000 are running diverse production. A chemistry plant that mixes some batches in IBC totes and others in 200 L plastic drums and does not want two separate mobile mixers in parallel. A pilot-scale R&D operation where the container size changes between projects. A small batch line where one shared station saves square metres of floor and keeps the dosing area tidy. A bakery or seasonings producer where IBC delivery and drum re-batching alternate during the day.

Because the drive and the frame stay on the floor, the recurring cost is a propeller swap, not a unit redeploy. Because the lift is electric, the operator does not crank a handle between batches — a meaningful difference on a multi-shift line. Because the control is a touchscreen with programmable sequences and a calendar, the recipe sits with the mixer instead of in the operator's head.

    Where this mixer works

    • Small-batch and pilot-scale chemistry alternating between 1000 L IBC totes and 200 L drums on the same workstation.
    • Cosmetic and personal-care formulation where the same line handles bulk raw materials in IBC and finished bases in drums.
    • Bakery, seasoning, sauce and condiment plants mixing 600–1000 L IBC totes during delivery and 80–220 L drums during re-batching.
    • Water-treatment and dosing units preparing flocculant, polymer and pH-adjustment batches in different container sizes.
    • R&D and pilot lines where the container changes between projects and a dedicated mobile mixer per format is overkill.
    • Customer's own tanks of similar dimensions to standard IBC or drum geometry — we support custom propellers on the same quick-change interface, on request.

    Technical specifications

    Drive electric 400 V three-phase (230 V single-phase on request)
Motor power 0.75 kW (~1 HP)
    Motor type TEFC, IP55
Nominal speed 900 rpm — VFD standard, regulated 40–100% of nominal (≈360–900 rpm)
Propeller — IBC twin ∅140 mm 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel (food contact EC 1935/2004), high-speed for dispersion and homogenization (NOT folding)
Propeller — drums dedicated propeller for 80–220 L drums, 316Ti, on the same quick-change mount
Quick-change system mechanical hand swap with the lift raised — under a minute per changeover
Frame lift electric (actuator-driven), no manual crank
Control industrial touchscreen — VFD speed control, programmable sequences, calendar/timer functions
IBC compatibility 600, 800 and 1000 L IBC totes — both DN150 and DN225 cap formats (same propeller passes through both)
Drum compatibility 80–220 L drums (steel, fibre, plastic with bolted lid) — with dedicated propeller
Custom tanks supported — customer tanks with similar parameters to IBC or drum geometry (propeller adapted on request)
Frame painted steel standard; 304 stainless steel as paid option for food, cosmetic and pharma applications
ATEX no — for stationary ATEX duty see MSRP-5000 ECO Ex (pneumatic)
Lead time 4–6 weeks (universal stationary build)

    Construction and materials

The MSU-1000 frame stays on the floor as a fixed station. The mixing head sits on an electric lift column — the operator raises the head, the container goes underneath, the lift comes down, the touchscreen runs the recipe. The propeller is mounted on a quick-change spindle so the IBC head can come off and the drum head goes on in the same fixture.

The wetted propellers are 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel approved for food contact under EC 1935/2004. The shaft is stainless steel. The frame is painted steel as standard, 304 stainless steel as a paid option for hygienic applications (food, cosmetics, pharma). The drive is a 0.75 kW TEFC IP55 motor, regulated through an industrial VFD that ships as part of the standard configuration — not as a paid upgrade.

How the MSU-1000 fits the stationary range

The other models in the stationary range are IBC-focused. The MSE-10000 is the industrial top model for continuous duty in a single IBC format. The MSE-10000 ECO is the entry-level fixed-speed station for high-volume repetitive work. The MSRP-5000 ECO Ex is the pneumatic ATEX station for solvents and Ex zones. The MSU-1000 sits across the range as the multi-container universal — pick this one if your plant runs both IBC and drums and you want one floor station instead of two.
