Application and model advantage

The MKP-5000 pneumatic IBC mixer (IBC air mixer) is the alternative for plants with a compressed-air system (6–7 bar) that want to avoid running electric cables across the production area. Naturally intrinsically safe — an air motor generates no electric sparks — which makes the standard version a fit for applications with elevated fire-safety requirements. The oil-free (oilless) motor needs no air-line lubrication, eliminating the risk of contaminating the medium with compressor oil.

The MKP-5000 air-driven IBC mixer handles all three duty modes — blending miscible liquids, re-suspension of settled solids and dissolution of powders — at viscosities up to 5,000 mPa*s (cP): epoxy and polyester resins, PUR and MS adhesives, solvent-based coatings, bituminous compounds, colour pastes, denser cosmetics. Variable speed is set with a simple air-line valve — you can adjust the mixing speed on the fly without stopping the process, which is valuable when components are dosed into the IBC tote step by step.

Unlike the MKE electric mixers, a pneumatic IBC mixer needs no outlet or 400 V supply — just access to the compressed-air mains. That makes the MKP-5000 ideal for coating shops, resin and adhesive production where compressed air is already on tap. The folding ∅350 mm 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller passes through the standard DN150 (150 mm) screw-cap opening of the IBC container. Construction, materials and compatibility

The MKP-5000 uses an oil-free (oilless) air motor — no air-line lubrication, so the mixed medium stays clean. The working pressure of 6–7 bar is the industrial pneumatic standard. Continuous speed control is achieved with a valve on the supply line — the operator adjusts speed without interrupting work. The folding ∅350 mm 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller passes through the DN150 (150 mm) opening of the IBC tote and unfolds inside the tank. The painted steel transport bridge (1.4301 SS optional) allows forklift transport between production stations.
