A specialised high-speed IBC mixer / IBC container disperser engineered for applications where high hydrodynamic shear is essential — pigment dispersion, dissolving solids and emulsifying low-viscosity liquids. At 900 rpm the axial-flow propeller delivers a level of shear that no other MKE-series model can match.

The MKE-500 high-speed IBC mixer handles liquids with viscosity up to 500 mPa*s (cP) — the range of light chemistry: water-based and acrylic paints, solvents, detergents, AdBlue/DEF, disinfectants, liquid concentrates. The high rpm rapidly re-disperses pigments and reactivates emulsions and suspensions that have separated inside the IBC tote during transport or storage. That makes it the ideal IBC tote disperser for product regeneration ahead of the next production step.

Unlike the other MKE-series mixers (MKE-2000, MKE-5000, MKE-10000), which run at 200 rpm and are optimised for denser media and high torque, the MKE-500 focuses on low-viscosity liquids — where shear energy matters more than torque. The folding ∅350 mm 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller passes through the standard DN150 (150 mm) screw-cap opening and unfolds inside the IBC tote.

Construction, materials and compatibility

The MKE-500 combines a light, compact transport bridge with a robust 0.75 kW (1 HP) TEFC fan-cooled motor for continuous duty. The high speed (900 rpm) is delivered directly without a gearbox — which means lower wear, simpler service and a longer maintenance interval. The folding ∅350 mm 316Ti acid-resistant stainless steel propeller is approved for food contact (EC 1935/2004) and resistant to chemicals. The painted steel transport bridge (1.4301 SS optional) allows quick mounting onto the IBC tote frame and forklift transport.
