IBC Tote Mixer MKE-10000 — Heavy-Duty, Food-Grade
This is our bestseller in household chemistry. The MKE-10000 is the heaviest-duty non-ATEX electric IBC mixer we build: 1.5 kW (2 HP), 316Ti food-contact propeller, and a built-in overheating cut-out that lets it run continuously without a service technician watching the motor temperature.
One customer comes to mind. A manufacturer of cattle feed substitutes was mixing in 200 L drums for several hours a day, by hand. We sized the MKE-10000 for their viscosity range, they switched to 1000 L IBC totes, and they have been running a continuous line for years since. The same model handles honey, syrups, molasses and edible oils equally well — those are the products that asked for 316Ti food-grade steel in the first place.

Continuous duty — what the thermal protection means in practice
The TEFC motor has a thermal cut-out wired through the contactor. If the motor temperature climbs past the safe limit (jammed propeller, undersized voltage, mechanical overload), the contactor drops and the operator gets a fault. Restart after the motor cools is automatic or manual depending on your control panel. In practice, customers running this mixer in 24/7 production rarely see the cut-out trip — the motor is sized with reserve for 10,000 mPa*s and most batches are well under that.
If you need ATEX
The MKE-10000 is not ATEX. If you mix solvent-based coatings, resins with styrene, ethanol-bearing media or anything that can produce flammable vapours, look at one of the Ex versions:
- MKE-10000 Ex — Zone 1, same ATEX as Full ATEX but with the control box mounted separately outside the zone (cheaper, lighter mixer body).
- MKE-10000 Ex Full ATEX — Zone 1, whole-system Ex.
